WHO runs the business and how long have you been operating?
Well known local businessman Will Reynolds, who has been working in the trade since 1980, is the store owner. Will's dad started the original Corrimal based business way back in 1965. It was called "Bill's Sports Bar" until 1988 when the name changed to Sportscene and more recently in 2003 it took on the current business name of Sports Power Corrimal.
The major growth driver over recent years has been fitness equipment. With renewed focus on lifestyle and physical well being there has been a strong increase in the involvement of people in fitness activities and gym membership.
WHO are your major Customers and why do they come to you?
Basically anyone with sporting goods needs. Mothers of all ages tend to be the predominant purchasers of clothing and equipment for their children. They are also valued by us as they are prominent buyers of fitness equipment and training apparel. Our customers are loyal to us because of the service we provide linked with our strong product knowledge and the advantages they enjoy from our advice and follow-up service. Our bicycle department is a good case in point. Peter Roncato, our longstanding bike mechanic knows bikes from "front to back" and his meticulous attitude and quality workmanship draws customers from all over the Illawarra.

We enjoy a close affinity with local people and local events and consequently we are able to provide a highly personalized service that builds on that knowledge and relationship. For example, because of our engagement in the local community we are able to advise parents about the clothing and equipment their children will need for their particular school and club sporting activities
